Hello!
My name is Iris Kostas and I am a Monash University Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate who is the 2018 recipient of the Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship. This scholarship commemorates past Monash Pharmacy student Mathew Peck, whose died tragically in 2003 while travelling in South America. The scholarship aims to assist other Pharmacy students who share Mathew’s keen interest in international aid work by providing funds and connections with mentors in regions of the Asia-Pacific in order to partake in a project focusing on a local health issue.
With my scholarship I will be heading to the capital of the Solomon Islands, Honiara, to participate in a research project looking at antibiotic usage within the National Referral Hospital in Honiara.
